SUTTER CREEK, CA - Feist wines summer music series continues this labor day weekend. The craft winery in downtown Sutter Creek produces award winning small lot wines.
Friday at 6 p.m. Two for the Road perform. The duo play a mix of Latin, jazz, Americana, blues and swing as well as originals.
Gypsy jazz trio Jazz Gitan plays Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The band plays once a month at Feist and the music is profoundly sophisticated. All three band members are skilled and professional knocking out the French jazz of the thirties in an authentic manner. This music is reminiscent of Django Rhinehart.
“I feel humbled to be surrounded by so many excellent musicians.” says owner Susan Feist. The venue has attracted a constant stream of bands on their way up as well as top local acts. The first show at Feist was Mandolin Orange who were named to Rolling Stones list of top fifty country bands in 2017.
Both shows will be outside on the covered patio. Feist’s final summer concerts are September 21 and 22 when Grammy award winner Willie Watson again takes the stage at Feist Wines.
Wood Fired Pizza and small plates such as artisan cheeses ($14) charcuterie ($12) and mixed local greens ($7) are available starting at 5 p.m.
Small lot wines can be purchased by the bottle or glass. General admission is $5 for both shows and tickets can be purchased at feistwines.com or at the tasting room.
