Ideateam performs at the Preston Castle for free TGIF Concert - Fri June 30

Ideateam is a 9-piece ensemble driven to fuse a variety of influences in a fresh way, flowing in and around various genres. With founding members originally from Amador County, Ideateam is not to be missed! Catch them at AmadorArts’ free TGIF concert on Friday, June 30 starting at 6:00 pm in the shady courtyard of Preston Castle in Ione. If you don’t count Kirkwood Resort, this is the first time this version of Ideateam’s high energy jazz funk music has appeared in Amador. Bring your own chairs and picnics to the back of Preston Castle, which is on Palm Drive, off Highway 104. Free parking on the south side.

Consisting of two guitars, bass, drums, percussion, brass section, and a cast of featured vocalists, Ideateam’s sound brings essences of old and new, blended with a few drops of extraterrestrial soundscapes.  The band has shared the stage with Orgone, Polyrhythmics, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, and Monophonics. Additionally, Ideateam was honored to open for Bernard Purdie and The Headhunters. They regularly play at The BoomBoom Room in San Francisco and at Kirkwood Resort, along with touring all over the West Coast from Oregon State to Long Beach, CA.

Ideateam is: Tim Snoke- Guitar, Justin Butler- Guitar, Joe Carusi- Drums, Roibeard K. P-L- Bass, Mike Ruiz- Percussion, Aaron Smith- Trumpet, Mark Miller- Alto, Chris Ryan- Tennor/bari, Josh Cambridge- Trombone, Julian Cunningham- Vox.

AmadorArts, a non-profit public benefit organization in the county for 35 years, is proud to bring these free concerts to the parks of Amador County, as it has for 19 years.  Next Friday, July 7, TGIF will be featuring the City of Trees Brass Band at Detert Park in Jackson.  For more information, call 209-267-9038 or visit www.amadorarts.org
