“ For the Arts” Continues as a Successful Fundraiser

Ten by ten-inch works of art were “flying off the wall,” says an AmadorArts Gallery spokesperson, during the packed recent opening of the “ For the Arts” Exhibit.  Even though some of the nearly 100 pieces of art have sold, the show goes until June 25th, and there is still plenty of wonderful work for sale from artists across the state. In fact, some artists are bringing in replacements.

A unique arts fundraiser, every work has a price tag of $50, with half going to the artist and half to fund AmadorArts’ vital community program Arts in Education. With your purchase, not only are you collecting affordable art, but you're supporting arts in the schools, an on-going program that reaches approximately 1,500 local elementary students.

Artists will be picking up unsold work at the gallery on June 26th between 10 am and noon.

The gallery is located in Sutter Creek at 11-A Randolph St., a block off Main St; turn by the red door of the Buffalo Emporium.  Hours on weekends are 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The gallery is open during the week, Tuesday through Friday, but it’s best to call ahead, 209-267-9038. For more info about the non-profit agency, in operation for 35 years, visit www.amadorarts.org
